While each one enjoys a spectacular scene as they leave and depart from this airport, others are scared because of the fact that the 3200 m long track is at an altitude of just two feet.

Malaysian International Airport is the main Maldives airport and the only international airport to offer in this island of southern Asia.

Located on the isle of Hulhule, near the main island of Male for which it was named. It was once named after the first Maldivian President Ibrahim Nasir, and today it is also called the International Airport of Velana.

At this island in the Indian Ocean, the airport was opened for the first time in October 1960. At that time it had only a steel track of 23 x 914 meters.

With years of growing tourist interest in this paradise destination, the airport was refurbished and additional infrastructure was built. The Island Airport today also features a weather station and the Hulhule hotel, which is intended for travelers in transit.

While each one enjoys a spectacular scene as they leave and depart from this airport, others are scared because of the fact that the track is 45 meters wide and 3200 meters long at an altitude of just two feet, and looks like a dive into the Indian Ocean.
